Growing up just down the road in Pittsburgh, Sunday mornings were always my favorite.
That's when I'd spend hours reading the local newspaper -- front to back, and every section in between. In fact, I think my parents started removing pages before handing it off to me, just so we could get to church on time!
So I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a journalist "when I grew up."
Throughout my college years at Penn State University, I worked in various forms of media, including the newspaper, radio station and television channel. Basically, anytime I had a phone resting on my shoulder and a reporter's notepad in my hand, I was one happy camper!
Upon graduation, I traded in my notepads for a microphone when I landed my first job at WICU as a reporter. A couple years after first hitting the streets, I jumped sets to WSEE, where I currently anchor Newswatch at Six and the Newswatch Nightbeat on WSEE & the CW, alongside Scott McDonnell.
I love working and living in Erie, where the gorgeous summers more than make up for our flurry-filled winters! When I'm not behind the desk, you might find me checking out a book or two, hanging out at Presque Isle, or visiting with my friends or my sisters -- I have three of them!
