An Erie Police Lieutenant is recognized as officer of the month.
District Attorney Jack Daneri honors Lt. Mike Nolan as August's officer of the month.
Lt. Nolan has been on the Erie police force for 19 years, and has spent the past 15 on the department's Vice unit.
He's now a head of that unit, that investigates drug activity in the city of Erie.
"I think it's nice to be recognized but we don't expect it, we know that's our job and we appreciate doing it." Said Lt. Nolan.
"What we appreciate as trial attorneys, is that when we go into the courtroom we have someone who's prepared, and very passionate about the work that they've done. To get it into the courtroom, and Mike is certainly one of those." Said Daneri.
"He's been here approximately 18,19 years now. He was a Sergeant when I took over as Chief and one of the first things I did was promote him to Lt. because of that expertise that he has." Said Erie Police Chief Steve Franklin.
