A Pennsylvania State Police Trooper is recognized as March's officer of the month.
He's Trooper Mark Lugin.
He's a 23 year veteran of the PA State Police.
He's worked a lot of major crimes, but now Lugin is Troop E's Intelligence Officer.
He focuses on burglaries, analyzing precious metal logs, to solve cases.
"That was the surprise and real honor, because somebody thinks enough of what you're doing to nominate you so it was a very nice surprise." Said Trooper Lugin.
"A lot of times you see people get awards for a one time deal thing they did. This is Mark all the time. He does this ever since I've been involved with him, and I've worked with him more than 20 years, so I know what type of person he's been all along." Said PSP Supervisor, Sgt. Dave Gluth.
