A patrolman with the Wesleyville police department is honored as November's officer of the month.
The district attorney's office Wednesday recognized officer Tom Szelinski.
He's been working 3rd shift on the Wesleyville police force for the past 16 years.
He's described as a good officer, that's both tough and fair.
"I'm very pleased that someone acknowledged an officer here in Wesleyville. I've known Tom since he started here, I actually trained him on the job when he first came on." Said Szelinski.
"I'm just very happy. Very shocked. And thank you to all my other law
enforcement brothers and sisters and to the person that nominated me,
thank you very much." Said Wesleyville Police Chief Robert Schulz.
Be sure to tune in to 12News later this month, we'll have a wrap-up of 2011's officers of the month.
