Draft Day - WICU12/WSEE Erie, PA News, Sports, Weather and Events

Looking back on draft day it was and still is an unbelievable memory! It was frustrating, along with satisfying!

I remember thinking I would get drafted in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th round, and, as time went by and I didn't get picked, I kept getting more and more frustrated and disappointed. I felt unwanted!

Then the 6th round came, and I was upstairs in my room. My mom came running up the steps with the phone in her hand yelling, "It's Tampa Bay!" Well, I got on the phone and it was coach John Gruden. He said, "Bruce, this is a great pick for us. It doesn't matter what round it is." I said, "Coach, just get me to Tampa!"

I was more than excited and couldn't believe it was reality! I'm very blessed and thankful for that experience!
