A Pennsylvania State Police Trooper is honored as officer of the month.
District Attorney Jack Daneri recognized Trooper Chris Wingard.
He's worked for State Police in Girard, for the past 3 years.
A citizen nominated him for helping her along Interstate-79.
She got a flat tire and was stranded, when trooper Wingard came to her rescue.
"It's feels great. There's so many people that'll criticize what we do every day, and just knowing that there's people out there that understand that we're out there trying to do our best, and we are trying to do our best, it's a great feeling." Said Trooper Wingard.
"These are the unspoken events and activities that these individuals do day in and day out that go unnoticed. There's no trumpets blaring they do just their job, and obviously they do it quite well." Said Daneri.
You can now nominate an officer for May. Just go to our web site at www.eriealert.com
