A happy ending to report, just one day after we told you about a full grown tom turkey who wouldn't leave one east Erie County neighborhood.
After our coverage aired a man contacted the Shannon Road homeowner to say that he keeps turkeys and would be willing to feed and care for the bird, who may be injured.
There appears to be a homemade bandage around one leg, leading the Game Commission to rule the animal as domesticated. Commission officers don't deal with domestic animals.
The bird has been in the neighborhood at least five days, sometimes spending hours sitting on Mary Krugger's car or staring at her through her sliding glass doors.
After Mary made her appeal on TV we had a number of offers from people with pens willing to care for the turkey.
The bird has not been aggressive except toward a neighbor's dog who often visits homes in the area, but now the Terrible Tom has a new place to call home.
