Pennsylvania will have local representation at the Miss America pageant next year.
22-year-old Jordyn Colao from Millcreek took home the crown at the end of last month.
Now, she's already hard at work, promoting her platform.
This was Jordyn's second time in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant. Last year, she was third runner up, but this year, she took home the crown.
Now, she's busy traveling and making appearances as Miss Pennsylvania.
She's also busy preparing for the Miss America pageant. That will be held in Las Vegas in January 2013.
As Miss Pennsylvania, Jordyn will travel across the state, doing volunteer work, making appearances and promoting her platform - the American Heart Association.
She says the pageants are fun, and she's learned a lot, but promoting the good cause is really what it's all about.
"I do that because I lost 3 grandparents to heart disease," Jordyn said. "But not only that, it's because I know all of us know somebody that has been affected by heart disease in some way."
Jordyn will be also be working closely with the Children's Miracle Network this year.
