Erie Sees Crime Fall in 2011

There are some new numbers out on violent crime.

According to the FBI's preliminary Annual Uniform Crime Report, there was a 4% drop in violent crimes nationwide last year.

That list of crimes includes murder, robbery and aggravated assault. The city's drop in crime was three times the national average.

The FBI also reports Erie saw a 12% drop in violent crime in 2011.
