The newest Giant Eagle store opened in Harborcreek with a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday morning.
As we've been reporting, the new store is less than a mile from the old location off Buffalo Road.
The new store is twenty three thousand square feet bigger than the old store, and offers much more than just groceries.
Officials say that is the key to keeping the customer happy.
"When you think about convenience and the way customers live their lives today they're very busy and time pressed," said Rob Borella, Senior Spokesperson for Giant Eagle. "To have a location where you can get multiple errands done in one location, like dry cleaning, like banking like having an area for your children in the Eagle's Nest, it's really all about customer convenience."
The new store brought 225 new jobs to the area.
