This was the 20th year the North Western Pennsylvania Pride Alliance held their annual Pride Erie Picnic.
With numbers increasing each year, organizers say this is just one way to communicate with the community.
"I think its important to do a mixture of stuff," said NWPA Pride Alliance president Michael Mahler. "We need to have stuff like the picnic, which is kind of informal, for people to chat. Its important to do the parade and rally, people connect with that. Its also important, for example we're marching in the Millcreek 4th of July Parade, that we are involved with the greater community."
Around 300 people where there Saturday afternoon.
