Rather than deal with the prospect of selling a home, comedic actor Martin Lawrence is taking the landlord route, listing his home for rent for an astounding $200,000 a month.
Lawrence's massive Beverly Hills home
was built in 1992 and, according to the property listing, is worth
every penny of the steep rental price. Measuring at 13,900 square feet
with 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, the 90210 rental sits on 2.24 gated acres.
The home is a "French contemporary" estate with high-end finishes
including pink marble in one of the master baths, marble floors in the
dining room and foyer. The home also features stained glass skylights by
artist Salvatore Polizzi. A wine room, movie theater with concessions
stand, 1000-square-feet gym and downstairs staff quarters round out the
rest of the enormous property.
Lawrence got his big break on "Star Search," and hit the big time
sharing the screen with Will Smith in "Bad Boys" leading to his own
sitcom "Martin," in which Lawrence created and starred in.
Lawrence is currently in the midst of a divorce, which could explain
the sudden listing of his home. He also owns a property in Toluca Lake,
which he's held since 1992 and a home in Virginia he bought in 2005.
The listing is held by Connie Blankenship of Hilton and Hyland.
