A big celebration today in downtown Warren. About 700 employees of Northwest Savings Bank cheered the news that the bank won a major award for customer satisfaction. It is the third straight year the Warren-based bank has been honored by J.D. Power and Associates.
The celebration was a combination street party, concert and pep rally on Liberty Street, outside the company's corporate headquarters. The award recognizes the bank as number one with customers in the mid-Atlantic region.
Northwest President-CEO Bill Wagner said, "For our customers to tell us we do a great job means everything in the world to us. So it is very important."
Another sign of success is a $10 million expansion of the bank's corporate headquarters. Site preparation is nearly done. The actual construction will begin in about a month. It is scheduled to finish in late 2013.
