A new Labor Department report shows the unemployment rate remained at 8.2% in June.

The agency says the economy did add 80,000 jobs, but the economy must add at least 125,000 jobs each month just to keep up with population growth.

The Obama administration is trying to spin a positive light on the news. One economic adviser notes it's the 28th straight month the economy has added private sector jobs. He says employment is growing but just not as fast as people would like.

Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus blames the president's policies for the slowdown. He says the country can't afford another four years of "painfully high joblessness."
