A Mercyhurst Prep student is using sour lemons for a sweet cause.

Fifteen year old Brianne Rogers set up her annual lemonade stand to raise money for the Regional Cancer Center.

She accepted donations for lemonade outside Saint Luke's church, and it was a big hit on a hot day.

She started the stand eight years ago, after seeing a similar story on Oprah.

For Brianne, it's an issue that hits close to home.

"I've had family go through this disease," she said, so she's hoping the money she raises will help find a cure.

She also said she wants her efforts to show that one person can have an impact.
