One Person Dead After Crash on Erie's Bayfront

One person is dead, after an accident Tuesday night on Erie's Bayfront.

It happened just before 11:00 p.m. on the Bayfront Connector, at State street.
Witnesses say the driver of a Jeep was speeding down State street, and when they made a fast left turn onto the Bayfront, they lost control and hit a concrete wall.
The Jeep then rolled several times, throwing one person from the vehicle.
That person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two in the vehicle wound up at the hospital for treatment.
Erie police shut down traffic near the scene, while they waited for the coroner and investigated the crash.
The crash is still under investigation, police aren't yet releasing the victim's name.
