Presque Isle Downs and Casino is taking several steps to improve it's operation. The casino says it is responding to suggestions from customers. But the moves also come just two months after the opening of the Horseshoe Casino in downtown Cleveland.
Today for the first time, the casino hosted a "Poker Boot Camp" with a professional poker player giving tips to local players.
The casino has also recently installed more than 2,000 plush new chairs for slot machine players. There is also a new free beverage center with soft drinks, tea and coffee. And the buffet area has been improved.
Plus more than 40 new slot machines have been installed this month. About 20 more will be put in service in August.
Presque Isle Downs and Casino spokeswoman Jennifer See said, "Basically it is in response to listening to your customers and making it a better experience for them while they are on the property. We want to remain competitive and continue to offer the best experience that a player can have."
