As part of the festivities Thursday night at Roar On the Shore kickoff, a fallen hero's family was presented with the Honor and Remember Flag.
The family of Corporal Jarrid King were given this special flag from Honor and Remember, an organization dedicated to giving these special flags to families of fallen heroes.
King was killed in Afghanistan in 2011, and those from Honor and Remember say, paying tribute lets the families know, their loved ones won't be forgotten.
"Every family is different, every family deals with grief differently, but what we're finding out is that when this Honor and Remember Flag is in the mother and father's hands, its brings a sense of closure, not totally, but a closure that their son in being honored and never to be forgotten by America," said Skip Geisaka of Honor and Remember.
Pennsylvania was the second state to recognize the Honor and Remember flag, and is now one of 13 to do so.
