Two traumatic traffic accidents in Warren County sent four patients to UPMC Hamot Trauma Center Sunday afternoon. All four were flown in by rescue helicopter.
Conewango Township police say 25 year old Robert Thomas lost control of his vehicle in the 18 hundred block of Weiler road, ran off the wet road and crashed into a tree. Rescuers flew him to UPMC Hamot. A passenger, 22 year old Justin Johnson was treated at Warren General Hospital.
Three other patients were flown into Erie from an accident on Scandia Road in Elk Township. A 17 year old male driver from Warren, suffered major injuries when he ran his Ford Explorer off the road and into a tree. No word on his condition. One passenger, 18 year old Alessandra Corticchia is listed in serious condition. A second passenger, 27 year old Ronald Smith is listed as fair.
