TOLEDO, Ohio -
After a hot and relatively dry end to spring and start to summer, the first half of August has brought significant changes to northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
Through the first 14 days of the month, the temperature at the Toledo Express Airport has been 0.9° cooler than the long-term average for August 1-14. Also, we've received some much-needed rainfall, with 2.80" already in the relatively young month. This is 1.33" above normal for the first half of August.
Thursday will bring much warmer weather, but it won't last. A strong cold front will knock temperatures back down to fall-like readings from Friday, through the weekend, into early next week.
