Remember the summer heat domes? At least for now the heat has shift far west. A dip in the jet stream will allow cooler air to arrive ( Aug 16th ) Don't be surprised if more summer heat arrives before fall, but with the days getting shorter, the extreme heat we had will be hard to repeat.
