Owners, Dogs Compete in Obedience Trials

The Westminster Dog Show isn't until February, but Erie got a taste of canine competition Saturday.

The Admiral Perry Dog Obedience Club held their annual competition at JMC Arena.

People came from different states in the region to have their dogs compete for monetary prizes and ribbons.

One man who came in from West Virginia said he travels the country for these events, and Erie is always on his checklist.

Dogs were judged at different levels in a variety of categories, including obedience, agility and hunting exercises.
