An Internet marketing firm that just one month ago opened to promises of hundreds of jobs has closed, but the owner says it's a "roadblock not a brick wall."
E-Dial Marketing had taken a good piece of the second floor of the former Griswold Plaza Post Office building, and additional construction on the first floor was underway to provide the company an even larger working space.
Owner Bill McCarthy blames an inability to come to a long term lease agreement with the building owner, local attorney Andy Sissini.
Some 150 temporary workers were told through text message that they would have to seek other employment for now.
McCarthy says work is underway to find a new place to do business and says he will explore options which include a number of smaller venues where parking won't be an issue.
He says the company's customers are expecting full service by mid-November, buying E-Dial time to relocate and reopen.
