A state police trooper is hurt, in a reported head-on crash Tuesday night along Interstate 90.
It happened around 9:00 p.m. in the west-bound lanes, near the Peach street exit.
A trooper's cruiser was in the median, with its lights flashing, alerting drivers to upcoming construction.
State police say that's when 55 year old Vincent Cole swerved into the shoulder and hit the cruiser head-on.
The impact pushed the cruiser back nearly 40 feet.
Emergency crews took both Cole and Trooper Dawdy to the hospital.
Dawdy was treated for minor injuries and released, police say Cole had moderate injuries.
State police say charges against Cole, including DUI, are expected.
