Google has stepped in to provide resources for first responders and residents in the path of Hurricane Isaac.
It's called Google Crisis Response. The company says they know people turn to the Internet for information when disaster strikes so they work to curate accurate resources for disaster workers and those affected.
Where the storm is headed, wind-speed probabilities, and current traffic conditions are all in one place at Google Crisis Response.
The Hurricane Isaac map, provided by Google Crisis Response, has layers so users can select the information they want to see on the map, from evacuation routes, web cam locations, or shelter locations.
