The former Fairview Fire Chief, who dedicated his life to volunteering in the community, has died.
Friday Orr passed away Tuesday night at his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Orr battled numerous medical issues over his 25 year career.
He was the first African American fire chief in Fairview. He also worked as a dispatcher for Millcreek Township and Crawford county.
A well-known and well-liked member of the community.
Calling hours will be held this Saturday at the Fairview High School from Noon to 6, with a service afterwards.
Orr was 44 years old.
