TOLEDO, Ohio -
Friday's severe thunderstorms brought damaging winds and some hail to many locations, especially to the south of the metro area. We received 9 reports of hail, mainly 1/2" to 1" in diameter, in Paulding, Hancock, Seneca, Erie and Huron Counties. Straight-line winds brought trees down in Paulding and Putnam Counties, according to storm reports filed by law enforcement. Farther southwest, a semi was blown over on US 30 near Convoy in Van Wert County.
