Shooting Victim Was Recently Charged In Erie Shooting

It turns out the victim of a weekend shooting has been in trouble with the law before.
In fact, he was just charged in another shooting, earlier this summer.

The latest shooting happened, about 3:00 Sunday morning, in the 1000 block of Brandes.
21 year old Clifton Barney was shot in the upper body, 22 year old Sammica Roberts, was shot in the head.
Roberts was in critical condition, at last check Barney's condition was serious.

Barney was convicted of shooting and killing his friend, during a robbery in 2008.
He was also just charged, for allegedly shooting a man in June at 19th and Peach in Erie.
However, those charges were dropped, because the victim didn't show up in court.
Investigators are trying to find out if this may have been a retaliation shooting.
No arrests have been made.
