A big development tonight, in the bank robbery we've been telling you about today.
It looks like the suspect is the same guy that's wanted for holding-up banks across the country.
Take a look at the surveillance photo of the suspect who robbed the Huntington Bank at 12th and Pittsburgh in Erie around 1:15 Monday afternoon.
Now the Erie police and the FBI tells 12News that they think it's the same serial bank robber that's wanted for robbing banks in 8 other states. This is believed to be his 9th bank robbery.
Erie police say he walked into the bank today, demanded money from the teller and reportedly threatened her with a gun.
She gave him an undisclosed amount of money. But a dye pack, used to render the money useless and help identify the suspect, exploded.
Police recovered some of that cash near the scene.
The suspect's earned the nickname of "Bucket List Bandit." This after he reportedly passed a note to one of the tellers saying he only had a short time to live.
The bucket list bandit is wanted for bank heists in Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, North Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois, and now Pennsylvania.
