Deadly Shooting Investigation Continues - WICU12/WSEE Erie, PA News, Sports, Weather and Events

Erie police have released the name of the woman found dead in a home on west 24th street.
20 year old Lexie Castile, died from a single gun shot wound to the head.
Police say it happened early Sunday morning, at a home in the 1100 block of west 24th street.
As of late Wednesday night, Erie police were still holding the home as a crime scene.
Police recovered a handgun at the scene, and say both a child and Castile's boyfriend were inside the home at the time of the shooting death.
Detectives have interviewed the boyfriend.
Investigators are now putting together the autopsy results, with interviews, in an attempt to determine if Castile's death was a homicide or suicide.
In the meantime, the Robert Waid Funeral Home in Meadville is handling the funeral arrangements for Castile.
