DULUTH, Minn. -
The last official day of summer brought the first snow of the season in Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Snow accumulations were not heavy and in most spots it was just a coating thick, but the snow arrived about a month earlier than normal in most spots. A dusting of snow fell in Duluth, MN which is the earliest snowfall in 17 years. The upper level disturbance that brought the early snow flakes is expected to bring a rain/snow mix to some spots in northern Michigan later today with little to no accumulation. Meanwhile, fall officially arrived this morning at 10:49am.
