Clymer Murder Investigation Update

Posted: Updated:

An autopsy performed today confirmed that Clymer, New York School Superintendent Keith Reed died of multiple gunshot wounds. But investigators are not revealing the exact number of gunshots.

Deputies with police dogs were back at the victim's home today searching for evidence. His body was found on his property early yesterday.

A dozen investigators are now working on the case, including New York State troopers and FBI agents. Deputies are not discussing a possible motive. They say they're just working around-the-clock trying to make progress.

Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace said, "We are continuing both at the scene and all the investigators are in the field doing interviews right now and following up leads that come in and those that we are developing as we go along."

Reed was hired as superintendent in November 2011. Neighbors say Reed was divorced but he had a finance. He was living alone.
