As September 2012 comes to a close it will go down in the record books as a cool month. The average monthly temperature will end up around 62.3 degrees which is 2 degrees below average. The warmest temperature all month was 86 degrees which took place on September 3rd and 6th. The coolest morning included some patchy light frost. The temperature dropped to 35 degrees in Toledo. Rainfall amounts were around normal with 2.58" falling...that is a little more than a tenth of an inch below average. The strongest wind gust all month was 33 mph which was on September 18th. Perhaps the most interesting stat of the month has to do with the clouds. On 29 out of the 30 days the sky was either clear or partly cloudy, meaning that only 1 day all month was completely overcast.
