Trooper Killed In Pittsburgh Crash Started His Career In Erie

A tragic story out of Beaver county, involving a state trooper who spent part of his career in our area. He has been killed, in the line of duty.

He's Trooper First Class Blake Coble.
He was killed Thursday morning, when a semi drove though a stop sign and hit his cruiser.  
It happened in Beaver county.

Coble was 48 years old, and a 24 year veteran of the force. He was within 3 months of retirement.
He started at Troop-E, here in Erie, back in 1988. He transferred to Corry, then eventually to the Pittsburgh area.
He leaves a wife and 2 children behind.
The cause of the crash, is still under investigation.
