It was a windy October day, with winds driven by a contrast between high pressure exiting to the southeast and low pressure approaching from the northwest. Wind Advisories were in effect today from Calhoun and Jackson Counties of Michigan, northward and westward across a large part of the Lower Peninsula.

The winds continue to produce waves of 2'-4' on the western end of Lake Erie near the coastline, so a Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for most of the evening.
