Meteor makes landfall

SAN FRANCISCO -

An asteroid that exploded over the San Francisco Bay area on Oct. 17th may of scattered in pieces across the region. The asteroid was so bright it startled residents and was picked up on several security cameras in the area. It created a sonic boom that was intense enough to shake houses and knock things off of shelves. NASA says the remains of the asteroid are likely north of the San Francisco metro area.
