MARBLEHEAD, Ohio -
Folks from all around the region flocked to the Lake Erie shoreline today to see the massive waves and wind that Hurricane Sandy helped to create.
Winds peaked in intensity this morning with wind gusts up to hurricane force. Despite the winds, damage was fairly low.
The lack of snow, ice or even leaves on the trees most likely helped to keep the weight and stress load low enough where extensive damage didn't take place.
Regardless, some downed trees did keep power crews busy around the area.
