Preschoolers at Saint Greg's in North East got a special Halloween treat Wednesday morning.
Culinary students at Mercyhurst North East prepared a ghoulishly good breakfast for the three and four year old class, and the kids were all dressed up in costume for the occasion.
Pumpkin pancakes and mummy sausage were on the menu, served up with a lesson in etiquette.
Mercyhurst students gave the kids their first fine dining experience, as part of their weekly class.
"I think it's such a great experience for the little kids, because otherwise we're just going out and getting candy," said Sara Kitchen, a program facilitator at Mercyhurst North East. "This is such a fancy meal, this is something that they'll certainly remember and go home and tell their families about."
The breakfast was part of an ongoing relationship between Mercyhurst North East and Saint Gregory's.
