Erie County Technical School students helped make a wish come true for a local boy.
The "Walk for Wishes" fundraiser raised money for the Make a Wish Foundation, to send a seven- year- old boy and his family to Disney World.
Their generosity was so great, they even surpassed their goal of raising four thousand dollars; they had a total of over six thousand.
The school chose to support "Make a Wish" because of its wide reach.
"It can touch every life... anybody from a child up to a teenager, and any illness," said Principal Joe Tarasovitch, "so we didn't want to focus on just cancer... or multiple sclerosis, so we thought if we did this, we had the opportunity to touch everyone's lives."
This was the third year the school raised money for the organization.
