For the first time in 11 years, the Erie SeaWolves have a new look. The colors and logo are bit different than what fans are used to, even mascot, C. Wolf, will be changing his style a little.
The team said it was time to freshen up, so they are moving away from the orange, and using red. And since "sea wolf" is a slang term for pirate, and the fact that the team used to be a Pittsburgh affiliate, they say, they're embracing their roots.
"We really wanted to come out and do something that was impactful," said Team President Greg Coleman. "We really felt strongly that the pirate theme was something that we could get behind and really have fun with."
Things around Jerry Uht Park are also going to be changing a bit, to tie in with the logo update. The programs each fan receives at the games, the teams says will even look different.
