In the race for the Pennsylvania's 3rd District Representative Seat, Democrat Ryan Bizzarro has declared victory over Republican Jason Owen.
With 91% of the vote in, Bizzarro is up 15,338 votes to Owen's 13,191.
Bizzarro spent the evening at the Elks Lodge on Peninsula Drive, surrounded by supporters. He declared victory around 9:30 Tuesday night.
Bizzarro tells us, his top priorities are business development, education, and public safety.
"I am excited," said Bizzarro. "This is fantastic for the community, and my team. I couldn't have done this without the support from the community. My family, friends, and all my volunteers. This was a joint effort, and a community effort. I'm so glad I was able to be there for the people of the third district."
Meanwhile, Owen and his supporters watched the numbers come in, at the Bel Aire Hotel. Owen tells us, despite the outcome, he has no regrets.
"I'm so happy with all of my volunteers who dedicated and worked so hard on this campaign," said Owen. "All of our donors and everyone who has just done so much. This has been a team effort that I'm very proud of. The honesty, the transparency, has just been exciting what we wanted to run as a campaign, and I'm proud of that."
Bizzarro will fill the seat left vacant by former representative John Hornaman.
