Home Invasion Ends in Gunfire

A home invasion early Saturday morning turned into a chase, and ended with gunfire.

It happened around 2:10 a.m., two black males broke into a home in the 800 block of East 21st Street.

Police say the men woke the owner and allegedly made threats, then ransacked the house.

The homeowner escaped, but was followed by the two men to the Country Fair on 21st and Brown.

There, the invaders fired shots and hit the victim with pellets in the head and shoulder. He was treated and released.

No arrests have been made, and police have no suspects.
