On this Veterans Day, the Wattsburg community took a step back in time to honor veterans from the 1800's.
The newly refurbished burial sites of two Revolutionary War veterans was officially dedicated on Sunday with Taps and a gun salute.
Members of Union City American Legion post 237 and Veterans of Foreign Wars post 6773 recently cleaned up the site, and they came together at Middlebrook Cemetery near Lowville to honor William Allison and James Hunter, Sr.
The cemetery is Erie County's oldest organized burial ground.
