Thanks to the local community, Thanksgiving will be a bit brighter.
That's because the Lilly Broadcasting drive thru holiday food drive was a huge success.
The community donated a whopping 34,837 pounds of food.
Just more than $33,000 dollars cash.
And 446 frozen turkeys.
Those numbers are all up from last year!
There were a number of locations around the area, Erie, Corry, Warren, Edinboro, Meadville, and more.
At all locations, hundreds of people drove through with cash donations, non-perishable food items, and turkeys.
The Second Harvest Food Bank can turn every one dollar donated, into $17 dollars worth of food.
A big thanks to everybody who donated, and the hundreds of volunteers around the area that lent a helping hand.
