Biggest Loser RunWalk Coming to Erie

A big announcement today on a new event coming to Celebrate Erie.

 It's inspired by the hit television show The Biggest Loser. It's a half-marathon, 5-K and kids race. It will be held on Presque Isle next August during Celebrate Erie.

 The  event highlights the benefits of exercise for the whole family. Organizers expect about 2,000 people to take part.

 Biggest Loser contestant Jackie Evans said "We just did a race we put together in 6 weeks. We had 14 other states represented. So I figure we have until August to promote the race. We should really see a huge bump in that. My goal is to see 20-25 states represented in the race."

After the run, a concert is planned for Beach 11.
