Workers at Scott Enterprises are going to have a busy weekend, loading food, clothing and supplies on a truck headed to hurricane ravaged New Jersey.
The workers will collect those goods, along with money donations, between now and Saturday evening.
The truck will then head out of Erie Sunday morning on its way to New Jersey, where the Red Cross and YMCA will distribute the donations to those who need.
"We saw the devastation on TV," Nick Scott, Jr. told us. "We have the facilities, we have the people so why not? We reached out to the community and they responded."
The truck is located in the parking lot of the Ambassador Conference Center behind the upper Peach Street Burger King. A second semi is on standby should the response be overwhelming.
