The woods are full of hunters today, for the opening day of Pennsylvania's two week rifle deer season.
Statewide, the Pennsylvania Game Commission estimates about 750,000 hunters will be out today.
Locally, dozens of hunters were out at the state gamelands near Waterford. And unlike many years, hunters had perfect weather conditions in the woods, with a light coating of snow on the ground.
Hunter Jeff Grove said, "It helps a lot. You can see them, the movement and tracks."
Wildlife Conservation Officer Larry Smith said, "The snow for visibility is a big improvement. And for dragging you may need to do."
