Autopsy Scheduled For Woman Declared Brain Dead After Brutal Beating

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, on the body of a woman beaten to death over the weekend, allegedly by her boyfriend.

Police say it happened Saturday night, at her apartment on west 17th.
The boyfriend, 51 year old Jeff Selby, is in custody.
The woman was officially declared brain dead at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon.
She had been on life support, since her arrival at the hospital.
At this point, the coroner isn't releasing her name.
Selby is charged with attempted homicide.
However, police indicated that could change, if the woman died.
