UPDATE: Police Confirm Two Deaths in West County Crash

We now know that the second victim airlifted from the scene of a west county crash has died at the hospital.

The accident took place early this morning near the intersection of Route 18 and Pennside Road south of Albion. That's in Conneaut Township.

Initials reports state that Albion Boro Police were in persuit of a vehicle with two people inside.

We do not know yet what caused the initial chase or the identities of those involved.

One person was ejected in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A helicopter was used to airlift the surviving victim from the scene to UPMC Hamot in Erie where he died.
