In an effort to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy, the New York Cosmetic Dentists of Bensonhurst Dental Care are planning and organizing city wide efforts to donate food and supplies and to offer clean up support to help those in the tri-state area who will be celebrating the holidays without homes and electricity.

New York City, NY (PRWEB) November 30, 2012

The New York cosmetic dentists of Bensonhurst Dental Care are helping the victims of Hurricane Sandy this holiday season who are celebrating the upcoming holidays without homes and other necessary living provisions. Throughout November, Bensonhurst Dental Care has donated to many charitable organizations in an effort to help those in need within the tri-state area who were most affected. As the holidays approach, the dental practice is now helping plan and organize a city wide drive to donate food and supplies, in addition to Bensonhurst’s financial contributions and clean up support, for those less fortunate.

Thanks to organizations including Feeding America, Red Cross, United Way, Salvation Army and USCG, the Brooklyn dentist team was able to aid in financial support to Hurricane Sandy victims. The team has also dedicated their time and effort to cleanup initiatives and provision distribution including food, clean water, toiletry items, and winter wear for those who lost their home or electricity. Bensonhurst Dental Care is even donating a percentage of any cosmetic procedure from November 1 until January 1 to the Red Cross relief fund for Sandy victims.

To continue and strengthen their support efforts, the cosmetic dental practice is asking those in the New York City area to help by donating nonperishable items, winter clothing, and blankets. Nonperishable foods include ready-to-eat canned fruits, vegetables, tuna, salmon, chicken or turkey; canned juice, milk, soups and chili; dried food including jerky and fruits; and beverages including bottled water and juices in foil packets or boxes.

“We at Bensonhurst Dental Care are committed to helping those who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy,” says Dr. Marina Rubinshtein, cosmetic dentist of Bensonhurst Dental Care. “There are still so many people in the tri state area that have no homes, no heat or electric so we have created a food and clothing drive to help out the best way we can. We are asking for patients and their family and friends to please come in to donate. We will have two boxes one will be for nonperishable food and the other for clothing and blankets.”

As the holidays quickly approach, those who are interested in donating may contact the practice’s office manager, Irina, at 718-234-3434 or visit the Bensonhurst Dental Care office located at 1872 80th Street, Brooklyn, New York.
